Parent Code of Conduct
By registering a child with TTYBL, parents and guardians agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Our goal is to create a positive, supportive, and safe atmosphere for all participants. Remember, the game is for the kids.
I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child by following this code:
- I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.
- I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.
- I will remember that the game is for the children and not for the adults.
- I will do my best to make youth sports fun for my child.
- I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
- I will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent such as booing, taunting or using profane language or gestures.
- I will let the coaches coach. I will refrain from yelling instructions or criticism from the sidelines.
- I will respect the officials and their authority during games and will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game field.
Enforcement
Any parent or guardian who violates this Code of Conduct is subject to disciplinary action, which may include being asked to leave the field, suspension from attending games, or, in severe cases, removal from the league without refund.
